Shrimps SS18: Storybook charm-meets-imaginative details

With many garments exuding a storybook charm, Shrimps SS18 exhibited a collection full of quirks and a use of imagination like no other.

Saturated in a colour palette of bubblegum pinks, crisp whites and greens that evoked imagery of a freshly mown lawn, the sense of exaggeration that materialised from the garments toyed with many of the senses. 

Dressed in pinafores, fur coats, dresses and an abundance of ruffles, Shrimps SS18 was both charming and surreal, creating garments that stood out against the approaches of their contemporaries. Surfaces were scrawled with houses and characters that could have come out of a book, and frills created a quaintness reminiscent of doyleys adorning tea room tables.

The dreamlike quality remained prominent within each and every garment. Abstract shapes emblazoned a fur coat, a green fur coat appeared oversized and overexaggerated, and trousers were ruffled in a manner that was both distinctive and elongating, resulting in surreal creations. 

Through exaggerated colours, shapes, sizes, and eccentric details, Shrimps SS18 proposes a collection that would undoubtedly catch the eye through its unique visuals, creating a series of individual characters through each and every distinctive outfit.
