Daniel W Fletcher AW17: panelled perfection
Influenced by the political downfalls that 2016 was renowned for, Daniel W Fletcher turned to the fashion of the 70s, inspired by the socio-political upheaval of the era.
With models stood on pedestals and surrounded by political flyers, the garments they wore incorporated a muted colour palette of coral reds, deep browns, blacks, tans and beiges with flashes of white. Focussing on coats, suits, jackets and sweaters, subtle additions were present that made the collection more current. With sporty undertones, high waisted trousers were given sports stripes on the side of each leg; most notable was the use of patchwork and panelling to create visually interesting pieces. Featuring on leather jackets, trousers and scarves were the combination of understated colours, which allowed them to work harmoniously together, creating a perfect piece for the autumnal wardrobe.
Panelled to perfection, Daniel W Fletcher AW17 exhibits the striking looks that can result from patchworking muted colours together.
