Chester Barrie bought a touch of stylish elegance to London Fashion Week on the 8th January. Featuring suits, smoking jackets, tuxedos and blazers, the collection was constructed from quality Italian and English cloths, focussing on the importance of texture and colour to formal wear.
Consisting of checked, pinstripe and tartan patterns in colours ranging from chocolate to moss green, the traditional suit was reaffirmed as an important element of the stylish man’s wardrobe, but with a distinctive sense of opulence and colour.
Combining rich hues and familiar patterns with contemporary approaches, Chester Barrie AW17 brings an air of classic sophistication to London Fashion Week.

Models crying tears of blood with their faces contoured with blood red paint featured, perhaps to allude to the bloodshed this year. This sense of discomfort was complemented with predominantly dark colours, supporting the harrowing tones and associations with the concept of fear itself.

Focussing on outerwear, Belstaff AW17 incorporated an intriguing assortment of coats and jackets, all of which were equally stylish and wearable. The khaki green parka and black rain mac integrated protection from harsh weather conditions with simple style, and the shearling jacket and melton wool peacoat and dufflecoat combined timeless fashion with strength and durability.
