Bobby Abley’s show is a pure optimism, and it is just flattering to be bold and colourful to represent the fun part of fashion in London.
Abley’s love for cartoon characters are apparent: This season the designer teamed up with Warners Bros to feature the famous Looney Tunes characters in his design.Road Runner, Sylvester and Speedy Gonzales, and if you wear that hoodie with a golden passport chip, you can enter the “Bobbyland” anytime as a “Legal Alien.”
Many designers have paid attention to plaid, but when you arrived in Bobbyland you need to expect something else about this trendy element: two-piece pajamas style bright blue plaid with mid-length sleeves, and a giant piece blue faux fur coat with a pair of blue plaid trousers. Then the colour continues to extend, with the face of favourite cartoon characters.
Pop culture is an essential part of Abley’s aesthetic, this cheerful read of fashion has genuinely brought London fashion week with more fun.
