John Lobb AW17: Footwear in its element

With the intention to highlight the importance of the River Nene to their shoemaking, John Lobb AW17 proposed a collection that amalgamated function and style for London Fashion Week Mens.
Set against a backdrop of flowing water, the element was very much a focus for the handmade footwear. The shoes were showcased in colours that oozed sophistication, featuring in tan, navy, black, khaki and maroon. Predominantly constructed from leather, the footwear was additionally waterproof, making it practical in being so durable, and allowing it to become better with age. The elemental reference was obvious within the collection, particularly with regards to the loafers that were not embellished with stitches, resulting in a fluid appearance.
