Frankie Morello FW18: There is a craving for the future world
Are we all living in a hyperreality now? In the 21st Century, our lives are covered by data and high-end technology - there is a craving for the future world. Funny enough, a part of our souls always belongs to the freedom from mother nature, that’s why no matter how fast this civilization spins, there are remaining rituals, traditional ceremonies, and tribal cultures- And a bit of cyberpunk, a bit of dark glam, the symmetrical, neatly arranged studs embroidered on bomber jackets, shirts, tops and jeans, almost became a texture for this collection. Inspired by Tibet, the embroidery patterns created a mysterious and futuristic ambiance, did Piaggioli took references from Prometheus too? Then the neon camouflage faux fur coat appeared on the runway, accompanying with shimmering fabrics and chainmail fabric: You would expect to see those look in the newest episode of "Black Mirror". The closing look is one of the strongest for the menswear this season: A burgundy ensemble with tribal patterns and golden reflections, a long coat decorated with wild fur details, a tailored formal shirt styled with the ethnic necklace - an ideal outfit for a winter evening gala or becoming a prince.
